Aircraft Owners & Pilots Maintenance Training

Aircraft Owners & Pilots Maintenance Training is a course designed for anyone wanting to learn more about buying, maintaining or flying aircraft. We will help you become a safer pilot by teaching you how aircraft systems work, how to troubleshoot mechanical failures and what your best options are when things fail. NTSB accident reports often cite pilot inaction as a cause of accidents. Why? They simply did not know what to do when a problem ocurred. The pilot underestimated a problem or missed the clues that a problem was about to occur.

This course will pay for itself many times over whether you are preparing to purchase an airplane or currently own one. The FAA lists 32 maintenance items that may be performed by an aircraft owner/pilot. Even if you don't want to work on your aircraft you can save money by learning to communicate with your mechanic. Understanding Service Bulletins and ADs will save you money and help ensure the safety of your aircraft. Thinking about purchasing an aircraft? We will discuss Do's and Don'ts.

A maximum of 4 students per class allows us to personalize the training and give each student exactly what they need. The classroom is in a hanger and we will be working on various aircraft and teaching displays. Classes are usually on weekends but weekdays are also possible with 3 or more students.
