The Syllabus
The Syllabus includes
1) What the FAA says an owner/pilot can legally do.
2) Hands on maintenance-How to change oil, filters, spark plugs, tires and more.
3) Detailed explanation of magnetos, vacuum pumps, fuel systems,electrical systems (including glass cockpit) brakes and more
4) The owner is responsible- How to ensure ADs are completed,maintenance logs filled out correctly and understanding service bulletins.
5) Purchasing an aircraft- How important a thorough pre-buy is. Inspection of aircraft log books, AD search and damage history.
6) Human factors- How to recognize problems and what your options are.
7) What to do when your aircarft needs service. How to choose a facility and to communicate with technicians.
